Retro-Fitted E46 Sport Seats

I found a set of sport seats out of an E46 on eBay for a steal and put them in yesterday. The seats were out of a wrecked sedan so I had to replace the seatbelt pre-tensioner on the driver's seat.

The seats were a direct plug and play and didn't cause any airbag or seatbelt lights on the dash. I had the plastic seat covers off both seats but didn't switch them over because the E53 covers didn't have the cut out for lumbar. The rails are partially exposed but to be honest it really doesn't bother me.

Seats $198
Pre-tensioner $50
Can of grease $5

For just over $250 I think I made out pretty well. Any questions just let me know..

I have a set of M3 Alcantara seats in my shop... after seeing how easy that is I may have to throw em in for a little while.

WOW - great mod. If you really need you could easily Dremel the lumbar support switches out of the original plastic covers. Not a big deal if you look at the backside of the covers. I would also think that the lower part covers of the rails could be snapped in without big problems.
