Need a A/C evac and recharge (along with a dye test to detect leaks). How much does it typically cost?

I had my a/c line replaced because of a leak...just to recharge was $160.

Dont go to the dealer. I went and had mine done, re-charged plus leak test w dye at Car-X three weeks ago. X5 takes .98 lb of freon so they charge me $89 including tax. Cheaper than any other shops. ex: PEP Boys, Firestone, etc/
The current hot summer in Illinois, my car is parked outside all day at work, I run it 3 blue dots on temp wheel and 1st bar in temp control.
My car gets brrr.. freezing!

About $100. So worth it. I had mine done last year. You never know how bad you needed it til after to recharge
