2005 X5 FUEL INJECTON FAULT
 

ANYONE HERE HAVING OR HAD ANY MSG APPEAR ON THE DASH (when u Put the boot down ) Saying ./... Fuel Inj System ! !!

Then Power goes down a lot !! - - and over all power is constantly down a bit compared to other 05 x5's 3.0d ( DOWN ON POWER A LOT )

new fuel filter + Air Filter :dunno:
(oil breather filter checked) :dunno:
checked intercooler and egr ! :dunno:
checked Cat Converter, :dunno:
No Smoke -ever ! even from cold start ! (but heavy emmissions smell)
disconnected MAF (power socket) and - No Diff at all to Power !!!
remapped to 255 bhp (Average) made fek all difference !:wow:


Suerly someone can help -

Changed the Vacuum solenoid :(

Put it back to standard and see if you still get same error.Then if its still the same do the following .
1.Get a more specific diagnostic done to see if you find the exact fault location.
2.If no luck with 1 ,then check Fuel pressure sensor,fuel injectors and pumps.

Since you say ,you got no smoke ,then its very likely to be a fuel related issue.
When did this problem first occur?Was it after a fill up or after you had the car mapped?
By the way,you had a problem before with your car,what was the problem and how did you get it fixed,,you never said?
