The sensor itself is behind the stiffening plate on the bottom of the sump, so I guess this job starts there anyway. It'n not the worst job to do, just difficult getting to a couple of the nuts on the back of the bolts securing it.

Does anyone have the Data scan tool specific to BMW.
I have an Audi VAGCom and I've been looking at the Durametric for Porsche for a while, but I don't know anything about the BMW specific software set.
