X5 Sonar LED Tail Lights

Thought I'd give a quick review of a set of LED tail lights from Sonar that I picked up off of Ebay for my wife's 2001 X5 (Build Date 08/00).

I ordered them from dt_moto, here's the listing:

I picked them up for around 150 since I had an Ebay bucks certificate and got them when he had them on sale.

They arrived within a week. They fit perfectly and did not throw any codes. Just make sure you put your reverse lights in from your stock ones. I forgot them and she had a reverse light code. They don't flicker, didn't need any caps or resistors, and work very well. They are very bright and look good. We'll see how long they last, it has only been like 3 weeks since I put them in. I'd give my experience with them and include what I exactly put them in.

On a side note, only on a BMW would putting tail lights in result in taking apart the driver's door! It was a coincidence, but as I opened the door to turn the lights on, the door handle broke! After I finished the tail lights, I had to take her door apart and get a replacement handle carrier.

Straight plug and play? Nothing else required?

They worked perfectly on my wife's X5. They were plug and play for me.
