Help!!!! Weird noise coming from the wheel on the passenger side

The sound is intermittent and can be heard after 30 min of driving ( or when brakes are hot) it s like my brake is touching the rotor ( if iff if if if noise) it exists also when not braking. ( my rotor is clean ) i dont think it is the wheel bearing because the noise is not whomp whomp
The noise is faster when increasing the speed

Did you look for seized caliper? Also check the springs for the parking brake at rear wheels.

I would say siezed caliper.

If you had a seized caliper in the 'closed' position you'd know pretty quick. She'd be smokin like a cougar at a bar on a Saturday night and the rotor would be red hot, especially after a half hour trip.

True......

Everything is normal so i cant say it is a seized caliper

It is weird because when i changed the tires the sound was gone and comes back after a year!!!

X5V8RULES 08-13-2011 12:20 PM

I dont think it is a bad wheel bearing because the sound is not constant and it s not a seized caliper because i dont feel any vibration on the highway

Have you looked at the dust shield around the back of the disc?
