fuel filter and spark plug change
 

I was going to do some maintanance work on my 2004 x5 3.0 . Does anyone know how to replace fuel filter. Looks like cover over fuel filter is rivited on.

I have done this twice on two different cars and the article is very useful. Mind the hidden bolt just in front of the rear wheel.

Make sure to wear eye protection as all kinds of crud start falling out when undoing the fasteners!

Best to do this outdoors as some fuel will spill no matter how careful you are.
