X5 suspension

My 2003 X5 has that feature that raises and lowers the car with the push of a button. REcently I went out and saw that my car was 1 1/2 inches lower on the left side.

The dealer didn't have a clue, and ended up replacing the suspension on the left.

It is still droping on the left side if I don't drive it every day.

The dealer doesn't have a clue.

Has anyone had this problem, and if so, what causes it?

You could have a leak in your pneumatic suspension? It may be a pipe leading to your left suspension! Can you see any signs of a leakage?Has the dealer checked your Air supplies?

Yes, they actually replaced the suspension on the left side but it is still doing it.

take it to another dealer.

ditto

you have an air level suspension problem caused by a slow leak. it could be at the distribution block inside in the back where the air pump is.

I forgot one thing, maybe very important....when you start the car up it levels out?

Does that change anybody's theory of a leak in the suspension?

Steved had a very similar problem on his 4.8is. Turned out to be a bad control module.

That proves that there is a leak.

I have the same problem with my car, when I turn the key to ON it levels itself out. Does that rule out the pneumatic spring itself!? What should I be looking for? It takes about a day or two for it to sag down completely.

thx!!
