Radio Problems
 

2002 E53 3.0si. This is the thing I know the radio is playing because I have a boombox with its amp. and is playing only the boombox there is no sound at all out of the speakers. I check the fuse on the Apline unit and is good.
Checked the fuses on the glove compartment and nothing. I check the back fuses and nothing.
I took the battery off for 5 mins to see if it resets the computer and nothing.
All I get is music out of the boombox only with an external amp. Where else should I check.... anyone

8-13 I took it to a couple of windows tinting places to have the system check and they told me that it was the amp unit toast. They didn't even bother to take the unit out, since I have have the OEM and the aftermarket amp. the aftermarket amp plays the boombox base only.

So both of them asked for at least $250 for an amp installed. Don't even know the brand of the amp. but here is my question is the oem amp a DIY job
if so which amp should I get
