Ok thanks guys. I've decided not to do a trade mainly because I don't feel it's worth it.

The car I've got is a good car. I've done a lot of work on it and I know it very well. Buying another is a risk, and I've no doubt I'll be back to the start again with little bits and pieces if work to be done. The new car might be a crock and I'd be giving up what I know to be a good car for it.

If it was a genuine ACS then I would be seriously considering it. But because it's not I don't see the point.

Also I notice it doesn't have Sport seats. They were standard on this model but I know you could opt for normal seats if you really wanted to so it's nothing dodgy. It's a feature that I - personally - would want though. I'd also prefer silver trim, but that's easy enough to change or paint or wrap in carbon vinyl.

Overall though €2500 to trade up through a dealer with warranty etc. sounds like a fair deal if you're happy with the spec (mainly the nav, also seats). Have a look for others that are for sale too just to get a feel for prices.

My 03 4.6is had the comfort seats, which was a $2K option. I prefer those to the sport seats, especially in a X5.
