E53 Steering wheel swap questions non sport to M3
 

Hello all, Looking into swapping the 4 spoke steering wheel out of a 3.0 X5 and putting an M3 or even the X5 3 spoke sport steering wheel in its place, any opinions? I have a 07 335i coupe with sport steering wheel and love the size and feel but my current X5 4 spoke I dislike because it feels cheaper, thin and extra big Will the existing air bag fit into the new steering wheel or will I need to replace the air bag as well? Is the installation difficult? Will the new steering wheel control buttons work? Is the steering wheel size different or is it just thicker? I know I have a lot of questions but I'd like to know what I'm getting into before I commit to purchasing a new steering wheel anybody with experience in this I would greatly appreciate some feedback and please post pictures if you have them. If anyone would like to trade or sell me one I would be interested as well. Thanks for reading.
