Steering is starting to feel loose at 99k miles, which bushings should I replace?
I had the dealer replace my thrust arm bushings about 5k miles ago, but the steering is still starting to feel loose and I am having a "click" through the steering wheel that leads me to believe some bushings are worn out. I was going to replace with the following:
Febi LCAs (rear position only) Febi ball joints OE sway bar end-links All these parts from ECS are running me >$350 which is pretty reasonable IMO. Anything else I should do while it's being done? Any idea what this will cost me to get done at an indy (I live in the city with no access to tools)? Thanks, -Cyrus |

About your mileage I think you need to do front control arm bushes and upper control arm bushes. Mine is due for it now with 117000 kms.

And here are the parts numbers;
If they start to fail, you get a bit of a clunk over curbs speed bumps etc, and also a bit of shudder under brakes due to the failing of the front or larger bushes especially. Hope it helps. |
We have them HERE, they tend to deteriorate over time. Being that you are at 100,00 miles, this should tighten up the steering suspension.
