Thinking of selling the 4.8is.

I am considering selling the 4.8is. I dont use it very often so I hate to see it just sit and not utilized. Just checking to see how the market is for these. Its a 2004(built July 2004). Imola Red with 45k miles. as perfect a 45k X5 can be. Also has Full warranty till 100,000 miles. Bumper to Bumper. All new Shocks, Alternator, AC Compressor, etc at the BMW Dealer.
Is there a decent market for this SUV right now?

That and low mileage might net you $28k...might. Keep in mind 3rd gen' is around the corner, not to mention turbo/diesel models are gaining traction.

The market where you are may make a difference but people are different.
What one person won't buy another person will. Just set a price you can deal
with and go for it. Never mind what others think. In the end you and the buyer
are all that counts.

My neighbor had a truck he couldn't sell for the longest so he priced it
$3000.00 more than what he was asking and it sold in a week. Go figure....... :dunno:

Tell me about it. I have a very clean 06 4.8iS with 67k. I have had to do Air Suspension ECU, Battery and Alternator, Expansion tank and Telemetrics Control Unit (Blue tooth module) in the last 12 months.

This either means zero problems for the next 3 years or the engine will fall out tomorrow :-)

My issue is whether I have it in me anymore to maintain the vehicle at the level it needs or if I let it go when it is perfect order and looking very nice.

Don't get me wrong, I have loved driving it and still gets comments on how it looks but I am getting too old to be lying under it replacing bushings etc etc.
