Basic Upgrades - recommendations
 

Hi Folks,

Owner of 04 4.4i Sport.....interested doing some upgrades, looking for some advice (worth every penny you have spend, could be for performance or appearance), appreciate all the comments.

love my LED interior lighting upgrade as well as LED license plate lights.

I did the led license plate lights but always get codes. Where did you get yours?

Festoon Dome Lights

Scroll 1/5 of the way down the page until you get to High Powered 5050 3 Chip SMT LED (the one with Canbus chip). They are $12.99 each in Cool White / 36mm. I can't recommend them more - never had a code, never had a problem with installation, they always work, etc. The housing doesn't get overheated, yet it's a bright white light (makes its mark on the ground at night). Don't bother with other bulbs.

In which locations have you used these LED lamps? I'm thinking of replacing all the interior lighting (or at least as much as possible) in my '03 3.0i with LED lamps. Thanks!

i did all the interior bulbs except the glove box and the sun visors.

Dunno what wheels you have, but there are some really good looking BMW oe wheels in 19 and 20, out there in wheel land...

gotta go with auxiliary audio cable input and/or DICE/Intravee IPOD adapter... The Aux audio input gives you 1/4" input upfront for ipod/smart phone/dvd audio, etc. Cost = $40. The adapters give you integrated control of ipod from nav screen/steering wheel inputs, etc... Cost= $300.. I've also added backup camera and TV Tuner but that's getting carried away now :)
