Service Engine Soon light came on. I checked the gas cap which felt loose and tightend it. It's been a few days and I drove it every day but the light's still on. Is there a way to pull the code to see what's wrong?

You can go to autozone and they will read the code for you with an acron scanner for free. It will give you 3 to 5 different things that might be causing the light. I bought a peake code reader that is bmw specific and will narrow the problem down a bit more. Your other alternative if you were having serious problems would be to take it to the stealership and let them diagnose for a mere $130.
