"M" Modified X5 Spotted

Hey everyone,

The other day I was cruising along the I-25 corridor along Denver, Colorado, in my X3. As I'm spotting what other nice Bimmers are around me, I see a sight that makes me lose my attention to driving (oops!) :wow:

Cruising right next to me is an X5 with "M" side grills cut into the fenders right behind the front wheel arches. In general, the appearance of the X5 looked like a 4.8IS.

Although I know this has to be a personal modification, has anyone seem other X5s like this?

Maybe BMW will get the idea and do something official, eventually.

Saw a Honda CRX on Speed TV last night on that Canadian show- "Sports Car Revolution" with the same mod, but never an X5. I would like it on the 4.8, but it's an "M" design cue, and BMW swears the X series will never get an M model.

I read somewhere that BMW is considering an ///M model X5 for the next gen X5 to compete with the MBs AMG ML class. I think I had posted the news release link here not too long ago. It wil be a 5 liter V10. Wonder where the engine comes from. ;)

Was it a jet black one? I think it had a grey or black interior as well.

:)

It was black with 22". I didn't notice the interior. I saw him on Colorado BLVD and Cherry Creek.
