Is this a good deal? New Muffler
 

Hi Guys,

I always wanted to change my single tipped mufflers to a double. I did some research and it looks like a 2003 4.4i's sport muffler is the same as my 2005 3.0i except for the double tip. I found this one on craiglist for $500 plus shipping. NEW X5 4.4i Sport Mufflers less than half price. They are on the way home as of today and theywill be here by monday. My question is: Was this a good buy and am I right about the plug and play? Will I have to do some welding? That is what I am trying to prevent, the welding portion.

Straight bolt off, bolt on. You might need to do a small modification to the rear exhaust hanger. I say might because on my '02 I did the same and had to do it. Don't know if your '05 has more room where the heatshield is. Great buy also.

Thanks for the reply. I already ordered all the bolts and nuts from ECS Tunning. Will post some picture as soon as it is complete.
