$#!!&^^ Brake Light!
Everything was fine after replacing front and rear brakes and rotors on my 2002 3.0, but now the brake light is on again--after 3 weeks of trouble-free driving. I wonder if one of the sensors has shorted or somehow a wire got pinched. What ever happened to good old fashioned squealers! I guess they are too simple for the Germans.

you could always just wire them up and zip tie them somewhere...lol. thats what I did with my Jetta. Did you install new sensors with the pads?

Assuming you mean the brake pad sensor light is on, and not one of the other brake lights.
The sensor comes on when it has an open circuit, so it can't be shorted. If you did replace the sensors, it can be a poor connection in the junction box, or a faulty sensor. Especially if you bought something cheap off the web, and not an OE sensor. |
I will check the connections to see if they are tight. I had a bit of trouble with the connector for the one in the rear, so I'll check that one first.
The rear sensor was bought from O'Reilly's, the front from e-bay--probably Chinese. Bill |
