I appreciate the responses truly I do. I am lost. I rebuilt my classic 66 stingray and know domestic motors inside and out. This BMW has me confused...
1. I'll definitely check on the cvv. Oil separator. I agree there has to be something.
2. The service guy told me he has never seen an engine blow in his 13 years at BMW so I think they are trying to find excuses and service to justify the oil loss. I baby the engine with high octane 93 gas and synthetic oil every 6k. I even put oil honey, aka stop leak in to reduce friction. I can't believe 1 cylinder would lose compression as it would have to be in pairs do to a lose seal.
3. I thought the compression numbers were low too and odd that it's 1 cylinder on a new motor unless it had major issues which car fax never revieled.
4. The only issue I know of the main electrical line from the engine to the coil was cut as someone before me had the electrical lines trapped in the valve covers and the dumb S O B cut thrum are desired it. BMW tested it and said it works and if was truly the cause it would not start the first time. This is the only issue I know of but they spliced it and rewrapped it.the last time the car didn't start was yesterday. My regular me hanic told me it sounds like the fuel pump and to floor the gas. I tried cranking it for 20 minutes and it struggled so close to wanting to start so I pumped the gas after 10 minutes it sputtered and started. I am so frustrated I just put the car up on auto trader but I love it.

You have one, as I suggested a few posts up, but didn't want to argue...
it may not be the problem, or even part of the prob, but I would have that R&R'd for a start.

Dunno who 'at BMW' said you didn't have one, but Good Luck.
