? benefits of the Comfort windshield

Can anyone tell me the benefits of the Comfort Windshield? During my trip down to seattle
A nice size rock smashed my windshield. So this is my chance to make the change over, thanks

I notice a significant difference in the amount of heat radiated into the cabin between my X with, and X without.......

UV protection for the materials inside the vehicle, and the purplish hue looks cool :D

Not an option in neither of the packages you mentioned. It's an option that you can purchase (after delivery) and have your local glass people install for you (or even some BMW dealers would do it).

Would you have the Stealers do it or a local shop???

I bought my X5 used in cleveland, for some reason it already had a comfort glass windshield, switching my view between the inside and ace ventura view, it does seem to cut down on glare quite a bit, and yes it does give a off a cool purple hue.

Only gripe:

Radar detector only works at the center bottom behind the wipers which results in decrease range and no rear laser protection (too low).

Illegal, not to mention very difficult to see out of effectively at night. Remember, you need seams on curved glass as well.

Son of a gun that may hurt I have the Valentine 1 by the rear view mirror is the windsheild metalic that the signals bounce off it and does the laser lose detection range as well? What can I expect with my V1?? since it is now mounted up high!

With comfort glass, you would been clocked and looking in the mirror at the pretty red and white lights....

The V1 is dead except in the bottom center and that spot does not allow good range either. I always run "A" mode just in case.
