Agree on rear lights, the test mule have different lights under cladding . On some test mule pics they appear to be LEDs.

The front end needs to be more aggressive

Here's both rears. Not only are the visible portions of rear lights not even close between the spy photos and the images above, but the macro elements that can't be disguised look different too (roof line curvature and width difference between the top of the roof and the lower section). The major curves on the spy photos are much more X3-like than the newer images shown (which appear to me to be a photoshopped version of the current X5 - boxier and flatter roof line). Although the rear lights on the spy photos appear to have a round reflector applied over top of them, there is no mistaking that they are LED lights, unlike those shown on the recent images. the lights on the hatch are also considerably higher in relation to the glass.

i grab the magazine when i go to france, they are generally correct about the upcoming models...

the title translates into: "...X5's still doing great. BMW opted to evolve the X5, rather than radically change it."

i think that's reassuring for most of us... ;)

I will hold my judgement until the real thing comes out. Right now there's just too much speculation and let's not get too worked up about whether the taillights match up.

I hate the new "thinking" if you can call it that at BMW design with regard to the hood of the new models. The hood with the integrated kidneys has been a BMW feature for a long time, and they're throwing it in the garbage.

I like the front which has the new 3 series headlights  but I hate the rear, it looks cheezy IMO :tsk:

I actually like it. I was afraid BMW was going to apply more of its new design concepts like with the X3 or the 3 and 5 series. At least it does not look like a Japanese SUV. Do not get me wrong, I have nothing against japanese cars but I like BMW also for their difference in style.
