Headlights working, but display shows error for both?
 
Hi everyone, a couple of days ago I started to get red warning/error lights for both my headlights , but they both are working. Fog lights are working too.

Any idea what this could be?

I searched but all posts I came across were with regards to HID retrofits. Mine are just regular non-hid lights, on 2005 3.0i

Any suggestions including any links to related discussions would be greatly appreciated.


Edit: it ended up being the light for one side of the angel eyes being burnt out. Here is another similar thread by another user, in which I posted a few pictures on how to change the angel eye and what to get from ebay: http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...-went-out.html

what is the error? is the self leveling functioning right?

Just on the dashboard, the display shows two red lights in front of the car, as in burnt out headlight.

thanks killcrap, I will look at those.

Also, I noticed that the error comes on only when the lights go on (automatic mode or manually), during night time or if I drive into a dark underground parking. During the day time, when the lights are off, the error doesn't show up. I thought perhaps the problem might be with the sensor for auto-on or something.
