Just turned tonight on my way up to school. Woo! Wally, I'm after your mileage mark :)
|
What year is your X5 again? I flew past 116.000mi on my trip to visit my parents in DC, now sitting at 116.385 miles back home. A smidge above average for a 2004, but the car still runs great, even if I might have lashed out at the throttle pedal on I-85.
At my rate, I'm on track to rack up 21.000mi/annually (34.000km). Definitely more driving involved in the Triangle area- an article stated the Raleigh area driver sees about 20.800mi/yr, one of the highest in the nation. |
its a 2004, with an 08/2004 build date, so a really late 2004 model.
The only reason why i dont have more is because my car sat in the garage during my freshman year at cornell |
Congrats, I think. ;) I have about 107K on my 03/02 build.

Speaking of which, to get this picture, i made the poor 3 other kids in my car wait while i drove around a 3/4 mile stretch about 10 times till i could snap the shot. Pulled of the highway on my way back to school 7 miles before 100k. they probably thought i was freaking nuts Not sure how much further i will go. It really all depends on when i graduate, what kind of job i get (ie if i'm in the city, i may just sell her and buy a new car when i move back to the 'burbs) but we will see! Will be breaking out my porter cable and menzerna products in a couple weeks to shine her up for her bday |
