Highbeams (Brights) Won't Stay On

Hey everyone,

When I flash my highbeams they come on no problem, but when I try to move the stick to the on position they will not come on at all. Any ideas what is wrong or broken?

Thanks

about 15 years ago my dad had gotten a ford escort and we thought the brights were broken because we would pull back on the switch and it wouldn't click and keep the brights on. They would flash though....

one day I accidentally pushed the stick forward and the brights stayed on.

now I'm not sure this is the same problem the OP is having...but worth a shot.

Well first your lights have to be on. Then you move the stick forward, to get high-beams to stay on. This should also turn off your fogs.

If that doesn't work, the light stalk might be damaged.

I already went into chapter and verse with the poster on another board explaining this is SOP for bi-xenons.

I no I wasn't bitching/ragging at you, I was pointing out the fact that you made a short and to the point answer. Epic, as in size and function.

I have no idea what SOP is and I assumed you were speaking about the bulbs, my bad for assuming. What is SOP? Also I did look it up in the manuel and what was explained was exactly what I did and my brights will not turn on when the stick is pushed forward in the on position.

Maybe the turn signal stalk is damaged.
