Yea I sort of expected that you know what you are doing in the snow being from WA. And that is why I think your tires have a lot to do with your problems.

What tire pressures are you running? Maybe you are over inflated?

ok, sounds like proper winter tires, which are different from snow tires.

i agree to watch the cornering forces. the weight can make a big difference. too much speed and you lose control.
