4.4i gurgaling noise
 

I have only had my x5 a couple of weeks. 2003 286hp.

Today I noticed whith the key in position 2 there is a rythmic wine and a water gurgle sound, is water being pumped around with the engine off?
Seems to come from passenger side (rhd). Whining and gurgaling stops when I turn off the blowers.

yes theres aelectruc water pump in there thats pushing water around

Ah many thanks for your reply. Do these fail, it seems a bit noisy and as it pumps my dash led's dim slightly.
