Drip on Oil Pan Gasket tab

1 Attachment(s)
I am working on a leak in my power steering hoses (ordered part and waiting for arrival) and have noticed this drip on my oil pan gasket tab. After some drives it doesn't even drip and other times it is just one drop. Could you look at the photo and see if it triggers any thoughts of an easy fix.

Also, there is a small amount of some substance next to this drip, almost like the former owner stopped a leak with some epoxy on the gasket.

Any thoughts on what I should do? With such a small leak (and all the other things I've been doing to my recently purchased X5) I am thinking of just letting this go for a while if it is a big fix like oil pan gasket.

All I know is you have to take damn near the whole suspension apart to get the oil pan off to put on a new gasket. If it were me it would have to be leaking about a qt a week for me to tackle that job.

Keep an eye on it , it probably won't get any worse. The pan gasket is metal and if torqued properly is 99.99% bullet proof.

I can't tell where I'm looking in that picture. do you have a 3.0 or 4.x?
