I pay about $400 for a minor (oil service) and $800 for a major (insp. 1) for my 2005 3.0d. I get it done every six months (I bought an extended warranty and the conditions require a service every 6 months or 10,000ks), 2 oils then an inspection 1.

Costs less than my girlfriends Alfa Mito to service, so I guess that's ok...

Please tell me once the warranty period is over you'll be doing oil services yourself?

How long is the warranty? 3 years? My maths says that you are going to spend $4800 just in regular servicing. I'd say drive it like you stole it so that you get a new transmission out of them to make it worth your money :)
