Help with buying wheels.
 

Hi everyone, i am thinking about buying these wheels for my 2004 4.4 and i have a couple questions.
What does "replica" mean? How is it different from the original BMW wheel of this style? Fitment good?
Also will these bolt right on to my e53, no clearance issues in any way with anything?

It lists the original wheels as being 17.30kg each and 21"ers. These are resized, which may or may not be good for your intended use. I'd also ask about their load rating.

Offset is in the 40's, which looks to be in the range of other BMW wheels for the E53, per the site above anyways.


MD is right, you'll need hub rings to make them work on an E53.

and -IMHO- every little bit HURTS, when it comes to wheels. I broke down and bought my OZ's because they were exactly the look we(she) wanted, but I -still- will be holding my breath the first year, i.e., my offset is off, though most opinions said no worries -and- OZ is still reputable.

bore diameter,weight,load rating,offset,wheel diameter and not necessarily in that order. add the fact that you are getting giganto diameter seems a recipe for heartache - shimmy-shimmy-shake, or worse. Near Anyone can mfg a BMW wheel style, and OE are priced precious, but are they priced 500% over actual value? Your call, but me doubts.

I hope never to have to balance a "gorgeous" set o' wheels on a bi-weekly basis again in this lifetime.

Offset and size looks about right to fit on the E53. Hub bore is for the E70 so you will need the proper hub rings to adapt the hubs to match yours. If you like the design of those wheels (which I do) I would encourage you to check out the Alzor 720s. Right now I have a set that on sale due to a scratch on one of the wheels. Click HERE to check them out. They are also E70 hub sized so you would need the hub rings found HERE to properly fit them to your SAV.

I would HIGHLY suggest doing homework on the tires to match the rims.

If you purchase a set of 21's you severely limit your options for rubber.
18's and 20's - no problem. Accessibility to 19's is becoming better.


I have many a customer who was sold on an upgraded rim/tire package from a dealer only to find out at their first tire change that the cost of tires was UGLY!!!

Hi it does not say how wide they are.. Are they the same width on the front and rear? or are they different?

The wheels in my link are 21x10 Et45 on all four corners
