Fuel Line 4.6is

Got the tank down to change fuel filter. My filter didn't have clamps but plastic connectors which broke from being brittle. I have these blue lines and have no clue what I can do from here. The nipples won't fit on the hoses as such.

I can't believe such a simple job has turned into a nightmare. It was easier doing the water pump on my v12 e38.

Did anyone have these hoses or suggestions? I can't seem to get the plate all the way off either so tracing these fuel lines and replacing seems like I might as well send to the dealer.

Fuel filter replacement

these were the connectors but now they are broken and can't be re used. What can I do now without possibly having to replace entire fuel lines?

I wish! I broke the black connector. I believe I created a work around. Car started and no leaks after 2 days. It is bone dry! I will put the plate back up as soon as it stops raining!

humm I'm trying to visualize which part you busted. Can you tell which part it is in this diagram? If so I should be able to help find it for you.

I broke these...according to dealer they could not be taken off from the lines.

Wow how did you break that.

You do know that you don't touch that clip on that side. On the opposite side, the blue is like a strip, you push that in, and it lets go from the filter.

Yea you can't buy those separate. But you can buy the lines, and then take it to a place that can flare it, and splice in the old, with the new. But since, you fixed it, just let's hope it lasts.
