We recently traded my x5 in for a family truckster as our family continues to grow. I have been relegated to a clean low mile 07 xc-70. Wife's old car. it is a fine car, but not an X5. Anyway long story short I am back in the market for another X5. I never really had any problems with my 3.0 besides the usual suspects, window regulators and door handles etc, it was getting up there in miles and did well with in the sale. I am looking for an 08 / 09 3.0 or the diesel. Any recommendations?

Can't escape the lure of the X5, huh? ;)

If you're looking for a diesel you'll have to go with an E70. We didn't get the E53 diesel here in N.A. It seems like people are finding some 4.8is models at very reasonable prices so maybe that will be what you'll find.

Might try the e70 forum ('07-current MY) for better info on those years/engines.
