cruise control prob 3.0d
 

Helo, i have a problem with my 2004 3.0d. When i activate the cc the light burns green but nothing happens. I've replaced the steeringwheel slipring but the cc is still not working. What are other common probs of the cc?

I too have a similar issue. I don't ever use it, but subscribing for ideas.

This might be a silly question and no offence...

But, when you activate the CC, when you get to the desired speed you want to cruise, do you press the + button, close to the CC activate button, to activate the speed?

To follow up on what Rob is saying, you first have to turn the cruise control on, then press the + button to engage the cruise control....

I know how it works :) and i used the + button, normally when activated and you push the brake or the clutch pedal, the light's orange. That"s now not any longer that's why i guess there's something else wrong.

Do you get any lights? Does the system even turn on? If not I'd be looking at a fuse or maybe your control module. If you are getting the system turning on when you press the I/O button but just not activating when you press the + button, maybe the + button has failed.......?

Just some ideas.......

The green cc light burns when i activate. I gonna replace the buttons. Someone knows where to find the electric drawings for the e 53?

Today replaced the button control but cc stil not working :(
Wich fuse can i check or are there other sensors that can cause the failure?
