replaced bulb in cluster :):) so easy
Just wanted to let anyone who has a bulb or bulbs out in their lower display in the cluster that you can very easily change the bulbs without unplugging the wires...
Keep the keys in the ignition power the steering wheel down and out to the max....take out the two little torx screws in the top....wiggle the cluster with some long nose pliers and pull it out....then there is plenty of room to remove the cluster from the dash turn it around and get easy access to the 5 little bulb holders...I used the long nose pliers again to turn and remove the bulbs...very easy fix took me 15mins...nice to have the display all lit up again..bulb cost £4 from a main dealer..:D:D |
What kind of bulbs are those?
|
they are little 12v 1.5w bulbs that come mounted in the holder....you just twist the old ones out and twist in the replacements.
Part # 62 111 391 260 nice to have the readout fully lit again :D:D |
Pics?

And here I am thinking that the cluster was lit using LEDs.

FIY: those bulbs let you read your mileage, trip-meter, outside temp, and the lower obc line.
