I replaced the maf sensor and everything is running back to normal now! :)

No prob. Same thing happens with 3 series.

Maf is the sensor that measures air volume. Usually on intake elbow before the throttle body.

Under $200 for a new Bosch part, and a screwdriver is all you need, so don't show up @ dealer unless prepared to get charged $400 just for the part.
