Aluminum Running boards
 

Hey guys. I am in the market for some running boards for my black 06 4.4i. I will be purchasing LeMans edition flares from ECS Tuning to complete the look (my x already has OEM style 87 wheels). Is anyone looking to sell or have a suggestion on where to get them aside from a dealer (looking to save a few $$)? Thanks in advance for your help .

It looks like there's alot of options available these days on eBay with the running board retrofit kit that looks exactly like the genuine BMW kit.

There's several sellers on eBay that have these kit for around $600, including shipping.

Or you can spend alittle more and not have to worry about fitment issues, $750, and get the genuine BMW kit on eBay from one of the east coast BMW dealerships that also sell on ebay.

I've been tempted to mod up a set of those power running boards. I know part of the appeal of the oem style is aesthetics but I gotta say after using the ones on the escalade, I'm a fan. They make em for smaller suvs like jeeps and the like and can be found for albeit more. They tuck away when not used and are very functional. You would have to custom fit one, but I think it could be done. Just a thought. These oem one's seem over priced for what you get.

They are a legit BMW dealership. They just sell on ebay, and actually pay fees to do so. Calling them, gets you an even better price. Just figured I would try with you.
