Finally Found one!!

Here she is, all dirty already on holiday :D

http://img256.imageshack.us/img256/5...8084880610.jpg

It's a Facelift 2006 3.0D, with 93k Kilometers (57k miles), These are hard to find in South Africa, who ever has them here seems to keep them forever.

Thought it should be time to finally register and post here, since i've been a 'lurker' for almost two months.

So, thanks to this forum , I have learned a lot about this truck, the only thing i had to do to it was clean the EGR valve and replace a seal on one of the turbo pipes.

since i do have some basic mechanic and electronic knowledge, i'll start adding to this forum. :D

so far i have changed my door speakers, and replaced all the interior lighting with led's, looks so good on the black leather at night. when i have some time, i'll post a thread on the globes i used and how it looks.

I don't think the 3.0d exits through the bumper.

Look like some random pipings there. I've never seen a diesel model before so idk.

Congrats! Welcome! :)

Nice one!

Get that PCV changed when you can, it seemed to make a difference when I done my one(ran a bit better and seemed to blow a little less smoke).

Diesels don't get tailpipes exiting through the bar for those wondering, they dump out underneath the bar and the tips face the ground, its just not visible unless you get underneath.

ThalliumZA 05-11-2012 03:16 AM

Thanks for all the welcomes :D

Yeah, on the 3.0D, the tailpipes actually come from the front of the silencers, go around the side, and point down just underneath the bumber, if you look close on my pic, you can see both pipes underneath.

check this tmv and nebilex

some guys have cut off those tips, sealed the hole's in the front of the silencers, made new holes in the back and added tailpipes to there Diesels.

Thanks JDM, I'll look into that

cannonfeet 05-13-2012 12:53 PM

if you ever do the pipes, let me know as i need a set of the left and right side bumper blanks so I can run a center exit exhaust on my 4.4. Unless someone else knows where i can buy some (hint hint)
