Help lights go out and wipers stop

Hi, I get a check low beam warning and other night it was raining, and all of a sudden lights go out wipers stop and interior light goes on, any ideas brought it to Indy garage they couldn't figure it out. Thanks

First thing I would check are the fuses/relays.

Interior lights coming on seem like a safety feature?

So, right now, your headlights and wipers don't work?

When you say interior lights, do you mean the courtesy lights or the dash lights like when you have only the parking lamps on? And are those on all the time?

Sorry for so many questions but I just don't want to misunderstand you.

The lights will go out every couple of days, usually solved if I turn of car. The interior light that goes on is main light above sunroof. Very weird. Thank you

Well, hopefully someone that has direct knowledge will chime in or might have better suggestions.

Again check the fuses/relays. Also, check the ECM box in the engine compartment for moisture.

Just some guesses but maybe check harness connections in the engine compartment - since you said it happened in the rain.

Another, is check to see if you might have a leaky sunroof cassette or clogged drains. Maybe you have some corrosion from moisture somewhere in the cabin.

If you do a search and can't find anything, I would just take it to a dealer or BMW shop. It will probably save you time and money in the long run, especially if its some kind of electrical gremlin. BMW diagnostics will give BMW specific codes instead of generic P codes which are not as helpful.

Right now, you (we) are just shooting in the dark.

Thanks for the response, would Indy repair shop have diagnostic tools?

They should as newer vehicles have OBD ports (On Board Diagnostics) for that exact purpose. Everything is electronic these days.

If the shop doesn't have BMW specific diagnostic tools then they will have one that gives them generic OBD "P" codes.

If they're good, they can still find your problem(s).
