What could it be?

Hi Guys,
Selflevel Inactive message on the dash.
It goes all the way up and releases the pressure.
Both air springs are 3 months old.
What could it be?
Control unit?
A stuck valve?

I can't undo the nuts on the compressor housing. They are sort of squeezed and turn with the studs.

take a dremmel and cut a slot on the stud, that way you can hold the stud with a flat head. Use an open end wrench to turn the nut.

That's a cool idea,thanks.
BTW
Is the suspension connected to A/C in any way other than an extra power being drawn when A/C is on.I know that Selvleveling is bitch when it comes to power too low etc.

you are correct. And it's just extra load, which the car compensates for by increasing idle.

And I would pull out all the relays in the back, and put them back in before doing anything else. There relays in these cars are something else. I purchased all of them just in case.

I wonder where that relay is.

Check to verify that the hall effect sensors are connected, wires and links to control arms.

diyanich 06-14-2012 02:52 PM

Is that on both sides or just a passenger side?
