Headlight protectant

I'm going to polish my cloudy headlights and I'm wondering what you guys recommend for a protectant to put on once I've finished. I'd prefer a liquid over a physical cover. Are there replacement UV protectants out there that prevent the yellowing?

I guess the alternative is to purchase just the clear plastic cover. Anyone know if anyone makes/sells just the clear plastic cover?

I like the 3M lens restoration system. I think the last step with the polish coats the lens with a protectant.

Good Luck!

I have the 3M one and will be doing mine soon. I heared good things about it and the professional shops use it. Post pics before and after if you can?

Bulk, no clear covers sold any where, especially for facelift headlights since you can't take them apart.
IIRC, 3M does not have any coating. I used it on my E39. It worked great with the drill attachment. You can use Lami-X to cover them, but it's a film. Sylvania kit includes a protective spray which might be what you're looking for.

For cleaning up hazed headlights I like to use the CCP Restoration Kit found HERE. Once you have the lights looking great again you can use a quality wax to add a touch of protection. Or even though you don't like the idea of covers, Lamin-x makes clear protective covers which apply over the lights, they are almost invisible once installed. On my car I used the 12x12 Clear sheets (found HERE) and had great success.

I have these installed for the last 7 years...excellent product with no yellowing. Slight pitting at this point so I'm thinking of replacing them but will first try to polish them.
