Sunroof Won't Completely Open
 

Hey guys, I recently purchased a 2002 BMW X5 3L.
The headliner is falling apart, so I decided to replace it with a suede. The problem that I am having is that the sunroof won't completely open. There are several torx screws on the top of the sunroof that must be removed in order to pull the headliner. Any thoughts on how to make the sunroof open all the way?

Shouldnt there be a way to manually open it?

Manully open is in the eye glass compartment by the opener for the sunroom, i think it's a torx screw that you turn to have it manually open.

I was able to open the sunroof and remove the headliner. I am not sure why it is not opening all the way though.

Try to reset it. I think ignition on, hold the up button for like 40 sec and it will cycle through all the motions. It will relearn it's path. You need to keep holding that button till it gets back to close. Search here. Someone had specific instructions.

haha, nope it's just an x for me, seems like it can't find the image.

Resetting didn't work. When I hold the button for 20 seconds or so I hear a popping sound and nothing happens.
