Front & rear aprons... what would you do?

We love our X5. :) But, the 3.0d is a little boring below the body colour bumper line on the front and rear. So we have looked into replacing the front bumper and the rear bumper with two different options;

1. The 4.8is front bumper. And the 4.8is rear mouldings which attach to the rear bumper. :thumbup:

2. The front bumper and rear bumper from AC Schnitzer. :thumbup:

Both come out about the same cost. IRO £1,300 - $2210

What would you do? :dunno:

I think OEM looks best :thumbup:

In the same boat with you on this one with regard to your upgrade thoughts. When we purchased our Carbon Black the thought was that on a Black vehicle that lower cladding will blend better. For me now, this is totally not the case, I need something done there soon. I am leaning to BMW's OEM kit cause I really love that rear valence. Going the 4.8 bumper route, as beautiful and better priced as it is, just doesn't feel right (posing as something the vehicle is not). Going aftermarket is too expensive for me even though it offers the most unique look.

Not keen on the OEM "Aerodynamic Package". It gives you flared wheel arches and makes the side look too chunky for us. We have the wheel arch extensions and love the look that gives the car.

Also, the aero kit is pretty much the same price over here as doing the 4.8is effect and the AC Schnitzer kit.

We're definitely leaning towards the AC Schnitzer. Or the 4.8is. Or maybe the Schnitzer. Or the 4.8..... aw cr*p. I dunno what to do :dunno:

We had the same problem it is one of my big hates (but only hate) about this motor why would they make the rear look so "girly" I went for the aero kit I think it looks good but I like chunky but now it needs some nice exhaust tips to come out through the kit.

Andy,you already have the special edition 3.0D,with the wheels and flares,you just need the spoilers to complement it!The oem front Bumper and rear spoiler look awesome and gets my vote.I did the same on mine.Dont like the Aero kit and the other kits are just......well!Different?
Once you have the rear spoiler fitted it really does make your rear end more aggressive and you can decide then if you want to fit the silencers!tips!
