You still need a jack and jack stands. Of you are limited on space, go for the jack and stands. Ramps are a luxury......

A necessary luxury if you plan on getting the proper fluid level in the transfer case, trans and diffs. I have 2 NASCAR style floor jacks (the good ones TireRack used to sell a several years ago, needed the 3" saddle height to fit under the Vipers), four 6000 lightweight (aluminum) jackstands, yet my 4 RhinoRamps get used 90% of the time.

Agreed. I have 6 stands, 2 long arm floor jacks, but the ramps are the go to for me with the X5. On ramps, and highest suspensor setting, the truck just misses my door opener on top. Lucked out on this.

Ahhh, this is the next tool on my long list. The Motive power Brake Bleeder. Comes in handy when you are working alone. If I don't have my fiancee helping me, I will use a pipe. So I will get the pressure up with my foot, then wedge a pipe on the brake pedal and move the seat up to apply pressure.

It works in a pinch, but a power brake bleeder will save time and frustration.

Have it. Not really impressed. It is nice to have though when no one is around.

I had the Motive power bleeder too, gave it to my son. I found I could bleed them myself by putting the end of a 3' clear bleed hose into a 1 qt bottle with the end submerged in a small amount of brake fluid. I can see the hose on the drivers side front and rear but need to set up a mirror with the passenger door open to do the others. One man job with no special tools.

I need to change my drive belts, and not sure if I should struggle with a regular spanner and screwdriver, or just buy the tools.
