amber- clarification
 

everyone talks about the 'older' x5s (pre2003) being ok to bake and then take out the amber portion. this sounds very do-able.
the only uncertainty for me what do they mean when say 2003 model..does this mean production 2003 or car yr....i have seen a lot of poeple write in who have a 2003 yr X5 and they have settled for amber...
is there anyone that help with this important issue???????

Starting with model year 2003 and even replacements for the pre '03's, BMW used a new sealant that is not bake friendly.:) :(

I am not 100% sure but even late 2002 (Oct-Dec) are also considered 2003 models and come with the new sealant!
Drex is the person to confirm this.Hes is in the same boat as me(we want the AEs but have 2003 headlights)
