I went nuts on my friend. I even asked him what he was thinking. He said they felt tight. And I was sitting at a grinder during that time, and heard the bolts screaming, eeeeeeeaaaaaaaarghhhhhhhhhhhhh. I even thought, damn, they must be rusted shut or something. Nope, they were getting tightened till their heads spun. And the heads stayed on the bolt till I got under to take a look. I touched it with my hand, and they start falling off. I blew a gasket. I really lost it. It took a lot of self control from kicking his ass. And after $100 or so in tap, and bolts, he never even offered to at least chip in for screwing this up.

I've built a jig out of 2x4 to hold my drill press, without the base, over the block. In the end, it would have been easier to take out the engine. But I only needed to do one hole, so it worked, but was a bihotch and a half to do all the adjustments. Maybe 5 hours worth. Not doing that again. I was young, and stupid.

I've built some crazy contraptions out of wood. I always make sure to have a bunch of wood material in the garage. You just never know when you need to Make another pair of hands.
