haha, thats good you got it off. How are you making out with the project? You to the point where you have the knock the half shaft off the spline and you hitting hitting hitting and it only moved 2mm? lol Let us know how it is working out.

All done and buttoned up. Was reasonably easy to get off once I got that bloody axle nut off. I have photos of the CV joint in pieces all nice and cleaned which I'll post tomorrow

Don't know how good your impact wrench is but mine had no chance

You need a big one. 250ft-lb or so. My 150ft-lb doesn't do shit against the nut.

You would need a high pressure air system (150 PSI minimum) with a heavy duty impact wrench.

My regular (5 years of professional use/abuse) 1/2" impact from sears with 115 psi has taken at least 15 x5 axle nuts off.
Your impacts must suck.

My impact does suck. But my breaker bar makes quick work of the nut.
