Downshifting during braking?
I have only driven this 4.8is a hand full of times so I'm not sure what the normal is. Whenever I am slowing down or braking the car automatically slows down on its own. Almost feels like someone else is pushing on the brake pedal. I'm guessing the transmission is down shifting but I cant feel it down shift. Is this normal? I know for sure the hill decent is off because when I am using hill decent it really slows down and is actually noisy?

maybe the system adapted to your driving ability and skills...

Just bought it a coouple weeks ago. Must have adapted to theirs? Anyway I can reset it with out a BMW scan tool?

Normal on our 4.8is. We have adaptive transmission control. It does that because you never know when you going to floor the beast, and it doesn't want to waste time downshifting. Its basically an M car, and does stuff like that, I'm pretty sure it's in the logic. I have reset mine a lot of times with GT1. But I drive it hard core when alone. So mine takes a while to stop downshifting like that. I have to nanny drive it, and it becomes normal.
