does anyone know if the X5 3.o with sports package has rear suspension that can be lowered by the dealer???

hey wud really appreciate if i someone cud help me out with this mod.
the h and r website shows x5 springs bout 300 bucks for front and rear.
do i need rear springs???
or will my 3.o with sports packg have the air suspension already??
pls help someone

Yes, you will need to replace springs on all four corners unless you have a ride height switch.

The 2001 X5 3.0i with sport package had the rear air suspension standard. Starting in 2002 it became an option. You need to look in the rear spare tire compartment to see if the air pump is there or not. If so, you have rear air. If not then you don't.

Hope this helps....

If you have rear air then you can have that lowered by the dealer by reprograming the level. Then you will need to get lower springs for the front.
You can also look at the rear wheel well to see if there is a spring or air bag there.

A dealer would probably charge 8hrs labor for replacing front and rear spirngs.
