Diesel Exhaust Manifold

Hi Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with aftermarket cast exhaust manifolds,I am needing to replace mine on my E53 diesel due to cracking of the original unit.It is currently fitted with the lightweight stainless version with is renowned for cracks. The original part in Aus is $1350 where I can ship one from the UK for about $400.So the price advantage is there.If anyone has used one of these units I would like to hear about your experience.Thanks in advance.

The problem with the cast manifold is that its not 100% compatible with the metal of the turbo flange and as both metals get upto temperatures,your bolts will loosen up !!!!!
If you dont want to buy a new OE one,get a a good professional welder to weld you the cracks and then make and weld a SS plate to strenghten it.
