@bugbyte: High Pressure A/C line temp results - I drove the car with Max A/C on for about 10 minutes then checked the temperature of the various engine bay componets with an infrared thermometer. The high pressure line came in around 130F, as did most of the engine bay componets that were not heat generators like the exhaust and radiator. The low pressure line was actually a bit higher in temp but it is near some engine metal pieces that came in at 300+F. I hope this helps. Remember that I have a 3.0 and that our A/C routes may be quite different if you have a different engine. Cheers.

Hey Squeasel,
Thank you for checking. As I know that your low pressure line (bigger line) should be ice cold so there could be something still not right. My HIGH PRESSURE line temperature is varies max is 170+F but started out around 110 and my car is seating still. You might need to check your low again sometime making sure the pressure is not drastically dropping. Can any 1 with 4.4i do a quick check on their HIGH PRESSURE line see if it is very hot to when it is operating. |
