How to replace lost key?

I do not wnat to give the $tealler $190.00  for just a replaced key with remote control. Is there ant alternative?

$190 :wow:
The answer is yes:
1. Look for the lost key :)
2. Search Ebay and you might find a blank but you still need the dealer to cut it and program it.

Maybe other members have better ideas. Good luck and let us know?

Nobody can cut you a new one, including the dealer. They need to send the code over to Europe to have a new key laser cut. Takes about a week via courier.

They actually have extra "spares" for your specific X in a safe waiting just for you.

I got two keys cut and programmed and had them the next day. If you go in before 3:00pm with driver's licence and you regerstration, they'll copy and fax it to BMW NA and they have them to you asap, I paid 200 for two so, maybe you can ask for wholesale prices, like I did.

I'm sure not everyone is dishonest. Remember innocent until proven guilty, Right?
